fruit:

  • the pods are up to 5 cm long, 2 cm wide at the stem and 4 cm at the bottom
  • ripe peppers are matt red with a medium thick flesh
  • the unmistakable shape resembles a bell or pope crown
  • neutral smell and a charming sweet pepper flavor with a soft hot

plant:

  • up to 130 cm tall, uncompact shrub with flexible branches
  • narrow, ovate, pointed and sparse leaves
  • it requires well-aerated humous soil, with slightly alkaline pH

cultivation:

  • spread on a sufficiently wide span, tie the branches
  • sufficiently water on the stem, do not wet the leaves
  • ensure enough light, do not expose plants to great weather fluctuations

use:

  • Bishop's Crown peppers for direct consumption and for fresh food processing are a fine palate
  • suited for light meals, white meats and vegetable salads
  • it is easy to dry for winter use
